It seems like every day a new celebrity counseled exercise video or fad diet is popping up on the radar promising amazing ends up in just a couple of short weeks. Eat more meat, do not consume bread, dance your way to a slimmer size, kick box your way to a buffer body, drink this supplement, take that pill, use this exercise equipment, and the list goes on and on.
The commercials are always enticing as the models with perfect six packs and toned arms flex their way effortlessly through the exercise routine sure to make you look just like them. But if that doesn’t convince you, a couple of before and after shots of average Joe’s turned Mr. Universe will at least make you believe twice about putting that card down. Then after you find that perfect workout and pay the three installments of $19.95 plus shipping and handling, you may give it the old varsity try for 1 or 2 days, weeks or months.
But necessarily it finds its way back to the shelf or closet where other quick fitness fixes of days gone by now rest, along with their spring of youth guarantees. Your dreams of the best body go out the window until the next miracle product comes along. rather than putting yourself through the weight loss rollercoaster, try starting a few old-fashioned tips consistently to improve your health. Drink masses of water, exercise regularly, get sufficient sleep, dress for your size and set reasonable health goals. Too often folk overlook the steps that if followed on an everyday basis would help improve overall health and fitness. Going for speedy fixes may work briefly but then when swimming suit season or the class reunion is over and you return to your ordinary routine and the pounds return.
Make healthy living a part of your standard day. Find an exercise regime that you enjoy like running or doing situps and stick with it. Don’t burn out by attempting to get fit quickly or for a special day. If you’ve gained wait over the years, let go of that old size you wore in the past. Wear clothing that’s cosy and fits your present size. Bodies change over time so go with the flow, be healthy and accept the size you are. Make practical health goals and do not attempt to be a size that your body isn’t built for to start with.
